WORKSHOP FRANTICS DANCE CO
ABOUT Frantics' methodology of teaching invites the student to experience a deep immersion, where instincts, impulses and raw emotions slowly start appearing. This can be exhilarating as well as cathartic for both the performer and the audience. Through Frantics’ workshops, you will discover and test your physical and mental strength and energy. At the end of the workshop, we will aim to create an elegant performance, where the body is in harmony with its surroundings - whether performing alone or included in a bigger group. Stories are being created all the time in front of us: paintings, sculptures, cinema, places, smells, or daily life events. Story-telling is the main thing when it comes to the exploration of the identity of the performer in relation to a specific subject. The goal of the workshop is to respond to the following questions: how can we express ourselves better with our bodies? How can we find and create different characters? What is my personal story and how does it relate to that character and the environment? How can I build a cohesive performative experience? By the end of the workshop, the student will be able to build up their own personal narrative while being immersed in a deep flow state. Every workshop is a one-of-a-kind experience. They are customized to the needs of each group, always based on the journey and experience in the field.
